 Synopsis
In the 1950s and 60s, a frantic young girl named Christine (played by Amber Heard) ran through the wilderness. She set fire to a nearby farmhouse but was ultimately captured by the police and sent to North Bay Psychiatric Hospital. Due to Christine's extreme aggressiveness, she was placed in a special ward where her freedom was restricted. The only people she could see were the cold doctors and nurses, along with the girls in the next room: Emily (played by Mamie Gummer), Zoe (played by Laura-Leigh), and Iris (played by Lyndsy Fonseca). From the girls, Christine learns that the mysterious Dr. Skinner (played by Jared Harris) seems to be conducting some sort of experiment on them, while it appears a terrifying evil spirit is lurking within the psychiatric hospital, ready to take the girls' lives at any moment.
