The dark forces of Gotham City have begun to stir again, this time with the half-faced villain known as "Two-Face" (played by Tommy Lee Jones). One day, "Two-Face" attacked a circus, where actor Dick (played by Chris O'Donnell) thwarted his plot, but at the cost of his family's lives. Bruce (played by Val Kilmer) took Dick in and convinced the vengeance-driven Dick to stay. Edward (played by Jim Carrey), an employee of Webb's who harbors hatred after having his research proposal rejected, successfully develops a brainwave absorption device and transforms into the "Riddler." "Two-Face" and the "Riddler" join forces to wreak havoc on Gotham City, using the brainwave absorption device to extract a significant amount of brainwaves from the citizens. Batman's opponents this time are terrifyingly powerful. Will Batman ultimately be able to defeat evil?
