There has always been a dark underground world on Earth. There, two great races – vampires and werewolves – are locked in a deadly struggle, each side aiming to eliminate the other. Once, the 'Moon Goddess' Selene (played by Kate Beckinsale) of the vampire clan, while chasing a few defeated werewolves, discovered that the werewolves were plotting to kidnap a human doctor, Michael (played by Scott Speedman). Realizing that the werewolves had ulterior motives, Selene went alone to investigate their lair. However, she fell into a trap set by the werewolves and was gravely injured, only to be saved by Michael. On their way back to the vampire camp, Michael was accidentally bitten by a werewolf, which unveiled Michael's mysterious heritage and the werewolves' conspiracy...
