Young Kyle (played by Channing Tatum) works in the Congressional Security Department after returning from the front lines in Afghanistan. His ultimate dream is to protect the President of the United States, Sawyer (played by Jamie Foxx). Kyle has a daughter, Emily (played by Joey King), in elementary school with his ex-wife, who has become a political enthusiast due to her father's military experiences, especially idolizing President Sawyer and the White House. To make his daughter happy, Kyle promises to take her on a private tour of the White House while also applying for a position in the Secret Service led by Cara (played by Maggie Gyllenhaal) that day. However, on the same day, a group of unidentified armed men infiltrates the White House, hunting for President Sawyer, leading to an impending bloodbath. While accompanying his daughter on the tour, can Kyle remain fearless and save the President? Can Kyle protect his daughter at the same time? And what dirty secrets might be hidden behind the motives of this unexplained violence?
