Isabelle Sullivan (15) has just moved to a small town to live with her uncle Paul, who is the mayor. Isabelle recently lost her parents in a car accident. She feels very lonely and helpless, so she befriends a stray robotic dog named Archie. Although he looks like an ordinary dog, he is anything but ordinary. He can talk. He can run at incredible speeds. He possesses extraordinary strength and x-ray vision. Isabelle and Archie became good friends. She teaches him how to behave like a normal dog, and he helps her fit in with the cool kids. Most importantly, Isabelle can share her parents' story with Archie. He understands. He has never had a family—until now. As summer arrives, things start to get tricky.
