Chris (Desmond Harrington) receives an urgent interview assignment and must rush to Raleigh, North Carolina, within 3 hours. What should have been a smooth trip is disrupted by a traffic accident, where a chemical-laden vehicle has overturned, causing a major traffic jam on the highway. Having no other choice, Chris takes a remote back road. Meanwhile, five friends—Jesse (Eliza Dushku), Carly (Emmanuelle Chriqui), Scott (Jeremy Sisto), Evan (Kevin Zegers), and Frances (Lindy Booth)—are driving to the mountains for a camping trip. Unexpectedly, they experience a mysterious flat tire on the way, and while waiting for help, their car is suddenly struck by Chris in distress. The group sets out to seek assistance nearby, but they unwittingly walk into the deadly traps set by a deranged cannibal...
