The final chapter of "The Benevolent Doctor 2" continues the storyline from the previous installment, with history steadily progressing in the predetermined direction, featuring more well-known historical characters. Nankai Jin (played by Takuzo Osawa) survives in the Edo period as a doctor, and his clinic, Jinyoutang, is getting on the right track. One day, he learns that Tachibana Saki (played by Haruka Ayase)'s mother is suffering from the common foot disease of that time, leading him to decide to create and promote a snack that can cure this illness. Meanwhile, Sakamoto Ryoma (played by Seiichi Uchino) appears before Jin, requesting help. Jin follows Ryoma to Kyoto to treat Sakuma Shozan, the master of Katsu Kaishu, and astonishingly learns about incredible past events from the awakened master. After the Ikedamen Incident, Kyoto is devastated, and instead of saving people, Jin is taken by the Shinsengumi to Satsuma Domain to treat Saigo Takamori. Subsequently, Sakamoto Ryoma connects Saigo Takamori with the Choshu Domain, facilitating the Satsuma-Choshu Alliance. Experiencing the sudden upheaval of the Bakumatsu period in Japan, Jin gains a new understanding of his significance in this era. In the not-so-distant future, he will encounter the wild wind (played by Miki Nakatani) again, and the mysteries surrounding them from the previous story will gradually be revealed.
