The gangster Ah Wei (played by Toh Tak Yu) is being hunted by the mafia after killing a henchman of a crime lord. He flees to Thailand with his friend Jackson (played by Lee Tin Sing) for refuge. There, Ah Wei meets the master of witchcraft, Cai Wang (played by Yan Chian Man). Cai Wang not only possesses powerful spells but also owns a long-lost ancient manual, which makes Ah Wei very envious. One day, Ah Wei secretly watches Cai Wang perform magic and learns a bit of it. Just then, the mafia assassins track him down to Thailand, and Ah Wei uses witchcraft to kill the assassins and save his life. Cai Wang's sister, Ah Shui, falls in love with the slick-talking Ah Wei. However, Cai Wang already knows that Ah Wei has bad intentions and is not a good person, so he forces Ah Shui to leave Ah Wei. This enrages Ah Wei, who uses magic to kill Cai Wang, disfigures Ah Shui, and takes the manual to flee.
