Xiaokang (played by Li Kangsong) becomes destitute due to the stock market crash. He continues to live in an apartment that has been sealed, where he grows a lot of marijuana that he relies on to survive. Having contemplated suicide several times, he calls a 'lifeline' for help and gradually develops feelings for his female counselor who tries to help him. During this time, he meets a betel nut beauty named Xiaoxuan (played by Yin Xin). They smoke marijuana together and indulge in sex. Xiaokang starts to stalk the lifeline volunteers and mistakenly believes that the slim counselor is his emotional support, when in fact, his counselor is a heavyset woman.
