Synopsis

The story takes place in Dublin in the 1980s. Due to his family's financial difficulties, fourteen-year-old Connor (played by Ferdia Walsh-Peelo) is forced to transfer to a strict and rigid church school. There, he gets into trouble with a bully named Barry (played by Ian Kenny), suggesting that the days ahead won't be easy. One day, Connor meets a beautiful girl named Rafina (played by Lucy Boynton). To attract Rafina's attention, Connor invites her to star in a music video for his band. To his surprise, Rafina happily agrees. The problem arises: how can Connor, who knows almost nothing about playing music, form a band in such a short time? Luckily, Connor has a group of music-loving friends, and soon, a band called “Sing Street” is formed.
