Carrie White (played by Chloë Moretz), resembling a little rabbit, grows up under the strict supervision of her mother Margaret (played by Julianne Moore), and compared to the open and reckless girls at school, she seems to have walked out of a pure fairy tale world, untainted. After an incident, Carrie, overwhelmed with fear, becomes the target of ridicule and bullying by girls like Chris (played by Portia Doubleday) and Sue (played by Gabriella Wilde). Under extreme pressure and shame, Carrie unexpectedly discovers that she seems to possess magical powers. Meanwhile, feeling guilty, Sue persuades her boyfriend Tommy to invite Carrie to the prom. On the other hand, Chris, who is punished by the school, plots to further humiliate Carrie. The little witch escapes from the cage crafted by her mother, and her life is filled with even more uncertainties...
