On a mysterious night, terrifying spores suddenly descended to Earth, burrowing into humans' bodies to claim them as their own and target them for hunting and consumption. High school student Shin'ichi Izumi (played by Shota Sometani) nearly falls under the spores' control, resulting in a remarkable coexistence with the parasitic beast in his right hand, whom he calls 'Migi' (played by Takashi Abe). One day, a new teacher, Ryoko Tamia (played by Eri Fukatsu), arrives at the school, and both she and Migi keenly sense each other's presence. Tamia introduces Shin'ichi to A (played by Mansaku Ikeuchi) and Hideo Shimada (played by Masahiro Higashide), inviting Migi to join a network composed entirely of parasitic beasts for mutual development. During this time, Shin'ichi and Migi are ambushed by A, and his beloved mother (played by Kumiko Yaguchi) inadvertently becomes a captive of the parasitic beasts. To protect the ones he holds dear, Shin'ichi must launch an attack against the merciless parasitic beasts... This film is based on the manga of the same name by Hitoshi Iwaaki.
