The story begins three years ago when rich second-generation heir Cao Yuanyuan (played by Lin Feng) allowed his subordinates to kill an elderly man due to a land dispute, and he was later imprisoned as the mastermind behind the crime. During his time in prison, Young Yuan lived a carefree life with no food worries, and he was soon to be released early due to good behavior. Recently, the elderly man's granddaughter, Liao Yuping (played by Zhou Xiuna), who had received threats from Young Yuan's subordinates, suspected that there was more to the story, so she reported to the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) to expose alleged bribery in the prison. To investigate the truth, the ICAC's chief investigator, Lu Zhiliang (played by Louis Koo), intentionally drove dangerously to get arrested and sent to the same prison, where he unexpectedly encountered the corrupt police officer Huang Wenbin (played by Lin Jiadong), whom he previously dealt with, and they each led opposing gangs. In the chaotic gang battles, Lu was forced to get involved, while the prison authorities secretly manipulated everything behind the scenes.
