Playdate is based on the fourth novel by American/Norwegian author Dahl (not related to Roald Dahl). In Playdate, an apparently normal decision turns Elisa's life, a mother of two young children, completely upside down. When Elisa's nine-year-old daughter requests to go on an overnight playdate with her new best friend, Elisa agrees. However, when she says goodnight to her daughter, she is unaware that something significant is about to unfold.
