This Japanese film, released in 1973, is the 13th installment in the Godzilla series, attracting about 980,000 viewers. The original plot concept came from a children's essay contest held by the film company. Initially, it was intended to shoot a non-Godzilla movie featuring Jet Jaguar as the main character. However, Toho later believed that Jet Jaguar could not support the box office, and they changed it to a Godzilla film. The entire filming process took only two weeks, and due to a limited budget, there were very few main characters. It is also the only film in the series without any female characters.
