The "Kennel" is adapted from a manga of the same name. The story follows the ordinary and unremarkable ordinary office worker Inuyashiki, who is nearly 60 years old, disrespected by his family at home, unable to find a purpose in life, and has been told by a doctor that he doesn't have long to live. Disheartened, he is suddenly struck by an alien creature along with another young man in the park, completely destroying his body. To avoid disrupting the order of Earth, the alien being resurrects Inuyashiki and the young man—they become a "human" in appearance but their bodies are entirely mechanical, possessing exceptional combat abilities. What actions will these two "mechanical humans," who still have their own will, take? And what impact will it have on the world?
