James Bond (played by Timothy Dalton) and his friend Leiter are tracking down drug lord Sanchez in South America. Not only does the cunning Sanchez escape, but Leiter also falls into Sanchez's trap – a shark tank. Although Leiter ultimately survives, he loses both his legs. Bond's superior orders him to stop the investigation, yet driven by revenge, Bond insists on pursuing the matter to the end, even after his license to kill is revoked. Without the support of the intelligence agency, Bond is determined to go it alone. When Bond heads to a nightclub in Panama intending to arrest Sanchez, who is meeting there, he is caught by an agent from Hong Kong and taken to a rendezvous point with the British intelligence agency. The sly Sanchez sends armed men to blow up the rendezvous point. Fortunately, Bond survives against the odds, and he vows to make Sanchez pay in blood for his debts!
