Martin (played by Scott Adkins) was once an outstanding American federal investigator. After the death of his wife Emma, he chose to retire, living in seclusion with his daughter Carly (played by Lily Ann Stubbs). One day, a group of drug dealers broke into Martin's home, and in order to protect his daughter, Martin killed them. As a result, he became a murder suspect and was detained, making headlines in the news.Charles (played by James Cosmo), an arms dealer previously dealt with by Martin, recognized Martin's face on television, and sent assassins to kill Martin as revenge. In reality, Charles has another identity: he is Martin's father-in-law. Emma's death was caused by an accident involving Charles, which led to Charles harboring a deep-seated hatred for Martin.
