The financially strong Altracorp company is secretly conducting a biochemical experiment on an uninhabited island near Quiet River in British Columbia. Despite strong opposition from the American public, the experiment continues thanks to its excellent public relations tactics and covert government support. However, troubling news reaches Altracorp: something seems to have gone wrong on the island, and all the researchers have gone missing. To locate survivors and investigate the disappearance, the company sends a rescue team composed of Raymond Hua (played by Zero Kazama), Ruixue Gant (played by Mary Christina Brown), Sophie Miller (played by Victoria Floro), Alan Tristan (played by Rob O'Brien), and Will Kane (played by Jai Koutrae) to the isolated, mysterious island. Shortly after landing, the team finds a missing researcher, but the already wounded survivor suddenly transforms into a dark mist filled with ominous energy, lunging at the rescue team...
