 Synopsis
In the film "Bitch," Ferretti depicts how a woman approaches a cartoonist. The artist lives on a deserted island, working on a comic about the first hero of the proletariat, Spartacus. This woman finds satisfaction in playing a subservient role before him. She puts a dog collar on herself, kneels in front of him, and licks his hand. Ferretti does not beautify male chauvinism with this; rather, he aims to condemn the pathological relationships between men and women in a capitalist society. However, Ferretti's duplicity, his cynicism, and the excessive comedic elements should also be criticized. Perhaps the idle artist living on the deserted island is a reflection of Ferretti himself, as he is dissatisfied with his life and work: "I try to make films within this system, and to make the films I want to make. I should be happy; but I am not happy because I believe my films are useless. I never harbor illusions; I know only a few people watch my films, and even if they do, what effect does it have? These films only make people uneasy. But that is not enough, and it is also meaningless."
