Goodbye to the youth that bloomed

Ma Lu (played by Pan Yueming) is a middle-level white-collar worker at a dating website. The pressure of work and the mundane boredom of family life have drained his enthusiasm for life. One day, his quiet life is disrupted by a call from his first love, Li Ai, who suddenly comes back into his life after 20 years. Ma Lu and Li Ai arrange to meet several times but are unable to do so for various reasons. However, his youthful emotions and memories have been awakened. Back then, in order to win over Li Ai (played by Wen Xin), the young Ma Lu (played by Lü Yulai) formed a band called "Burst" with Zheng Tianliang (played by Zhang Xiaochen), Qian Daba (played by Du Haitao), and Hou Liang (played by Wang Xiaokun). The past events flood back to him along with the song he wrote for Li Ai but never got to sing. Throughout the process of reminiscing, Ma Lu gradually regains the passion and dreams of his youth. He reunites with his old friends Zheng Tianliang (played by Qin Hao), Qian Daba (played by Wang Dongfang), and Hou Liang (played by Han Qiuchi) to reform the band, singing the songs they never finished by the sea, allowing a few middle-aged men to experience their own "burst" of life once again.
