The China Confucius Foundation and Foshan Television Station jointly produced the humanistic epic drama 'Confucius' in 2010 to celebrate the 2565th anniversary of Confucius's birth. The drama is directed by the famous director Han Gang and stars Zhao Wenxuan, Luo Jiaying, Zhao Jun, among others. It tells the story of Confucius's humble beginnings, his dream to learn from various teachers, and how he gradually mastered the 'Six Arts' essential for noble gentlemen of his time, earning the admiration and trust of both laborers and nobles with his integrity and vast knowledge. The drama 'Confucius' is also the first film and television work attempting to reflect the last five years of his life. The drama premiered overseas on September 26, 2011, on Korea's Huaren TV, and on April 3, 2014, on Taiwan's Humanistic Satellite TV, with its mainland debut on Shandong TV on September 27, 2014, achieving commendable viewership ratings.
