In order to track the GPS-tagged beluga whale, college girl Seti (played by Camille Balsamo) and Roniel (played by Giovonnie Samuels) accompany their project professor Stephen (played by Matt Winston) to the vicinity of the Arctic Circle. The group boards the crab boat named Foreboding, owned by Seti's grandfather, and before long, the boat nets a strange object. Upon initial investigation, it turns out to be a former Soviet lunar probe. The professor is overjoyed and intends to claim it as his own. However, Seti's grandfather is no push-over; he stubbornly asserts that his granddaughter is the rightful owner of the object, which makes Professor Stephen very upset. With the help of crew members Swift (played by Milla Bjorn) and Rick, Seti secretly inspects the probe and the corpse of its pilot inside. Who would have thought that this mysterious unknown creature would be awakened by them?
