This film is adapted from real stories.Mortimer (Hugh Dancy), a young doctor with the idea of saving people, was fired several times because he was disagreeing with the business philosophy of many hospitals.While looking for a job, I found Dr. Darlin Shaner's clinic.This is a place dedicated to serving women and treating a disease called "hysteria".Mortimer learned finger massage here and met two doctors' daughters with different personalities here.Sister Charlotte (Maggie Gyllenhaal) is a feminist who runs a relief house; while sister Emily (Felicity Jones) is a lady from a family.The hospital's business was getting better and better, but Mortimer couldn't bear it.Mortimer failed to satisfy a customer due to a hand spasm, so he was swept out by the doctor.Returning to his friend Edmund (Rupert Everett)'s home and seeing the electric feather duster he invented, Mortimer had a wonderful idea.This idea brings gospel and joy to women, and invisibly supports women's liberation.A story full of fun and love will be staged.
