The third season story begins seven months after the 2nd Mass arrives in Charleston. During this time, Charleston has been designated as the capital of the 'New United States' and Tom Mason has been elected as the political leader (equivalent to a president). Both humans and 'Fighters' understand that even united, it is difficult to defeat the powerful enemy—the alien race Espheni, which was mockingly referred to as 'Fishhead' by the 2nd Mass. Although their king is dead, another stronger and more evil king has just taken the throne. Worse yet, a brand new alien race arrives on Earth just as both sides are engaged in fierce battles.
