Haruka Ayase is confirmed to star in the suspense drama 'The Ex-Boyfriend's Will', adapted from the novel of the same name by Hodaté Shin-kawa, which will premiere this April. The story follows Riko Kenmochi (played by Haruka Ayase), a capable lawyer working at a large law firm, who, upon learning of her ex-boyfriend Ryoji's death, receives a strange last message from him: 'I want to bequeath all my property to the person who killed me', leading her to scheme with her client to claim a huge inheritance. The drama is directed by Masayuki Suzuki and Kaneshita Sawada, with the script written by Nobuaki Sugihara ('Sadako').
