After a failed suicide attempt in Thailand due to heartbreak, Zheng Jiawen (played by Shu Qi) regains her life. Upon returning to Hong Kong, she intends to forget her past and start anew, only to discover that she is pregnant. After careful consideration, she decides to have the child. One day at the subway station, Jiawen witnesses a woman jump onto the tracks to commit suicide, but those around her seem oblivious, and the police find no leads. Jiawen is left perplexed. From that point on, strange events begin to unfold in her life. She shares a taxi with a faceless ghost, encounters a mother and son who have jumped from a building while waiting at a bus stop, and she even sees Mrs. Zhou, who is also in the hospital waiting to give birth, accompanied by ghosts. Terrified, Jiawen is convinced that all of this is related to the woman who committed suicide in the subway. For the sake of her child, she begins to investigate the truth behind these occurrences...
