During the chaotic warlord era at the end of the Yuan Dynasty, there emerged a group known as the 'Army of Huaiyou' that was notorious for their cannibalism, especially targeting the flesh of children. The small town of Lintang near the Huai River faced severe harm from them. One year, the Huaiyou army was trapped in Lintang, and in one night, they devoured all the infants and young children in the town. After the chaos settled, during the Republic of China era, Lintang town saw the rise of witchcraft that invoked 'infant spirits', but those who practiced this often met unfortunate ends. Meanwhile, a descendant of the cannibalistic 'Huaiyou army', Meng Shaohui (played by Zhu Yilong), unwittingly entered the town and stubbornly chose to uncover the seal that suppressed the evil spirits. Soon, terrifying phenomena began to frequently manifest in the ancient town, and those involved in the events started dying one after another. It seemed as though a mysterious force was protecting a certain secret from the past...
