On a forest road, the expressionless Jack (played by Matt Dillon) picks up a woman whose car has broken down. The woman, full of herself and unbearably talkative, ultimately gets killed by Jack, who crushes her with a jack. This incident seemingly opens a gateway to hell for Jack, leading him down a devilish path filled with blood and ice. He has an obsessive and extreme pursuit of beauty, with a high degree of cleanliness both materially and spiritually. He personally designs a perfect house for himself, but often ends up tearing it down out of dissatisfaction. During this period, killing gives Jack immense pleasure. He considers himself a 'refined gentleman' and targets women as his prey. His boldness grows; not only does he send photographs of his murder scenes to newspapers, but he also plays games, lingering around the police and victims with ease. This is not only a cruel and bloody game of cat and mouse but also a meticulous plan he orchestrates for his ultimate goal!
