Haru Gion (voiced by Chikage Ikezaki) is an ordinary yet somewhat confused high school girl. One day, on her way home from school, she accidentally saves a little cat that was about to be run over by a car. To her surprise, the cat stands up and thanks her in a human manner. Haru never imagined that her seemingly casual act of kindness would change her destiny. It turns out the cat is a prince from the Cat Kingdom, and in gratitude for Haru's kindness, the entire Cat Kingdom embarks on a hilariously absurd mission to repay her, although the 'fine delicacies' they offer, such as mice, leave Haru both amused and exasperated. Not long after, Haru accepts an invitation from the kingdom to visit, and in a confusing turn of events, she unwittingly agrees to become the prince's consort. The girl is on the verge of transforming completely into a cat, and a mysterious baron (voiced by Yoshihiko Kamida) becomes her lifeline... This film is also considered a spin-off of 'Whisper of the Heart.'
