 Synopsis
Everyone must remember the 2002 series "Band of Brothers" directed by Steven Spielberg, which quickly expanded the audience for American dramas in China. Three years later, Spielberg led DreamWorks in collaboration with TNT to launch the western epic "Into the West." Unlike traditional westerns that portray the frontier history exclusively from the perspective of white colonizers, Spielberg, who has pursued objective and fair historical representation since "Schindler's List," tells this grand epic from the viewpoints of two distinct families: white immigrants and Native American Indians. The show explores themes of cultural conflict and exchange, the hardships of immigrants building new homes, and the greed of gold miners. One family is a group of cartwrights migrating from Virginia, and the other is a Native American family from the Lakota tribe. Together, they witness the poetry and the violent realities of American Western history. Of course, love, family ties, and friendship are themes that are always present in any great work. Like "Band of Brothers," "Into the West" is also a mini-series, comprising 6 episodes and totaling 12 hours.
