Detective Zhi Kai (played by Yuan Jie) is assigned to investigate a series of nameless child corpse cases. At the same time, he learns that his sister Mei Zhen (played by Wu Ke Xi), who teaches at an elementary school, discovers that her daughter has been kidnapped by a criminal after school. Zhi Kai and his partner Jia Qiang (played by He Hao Chen) secretly launch an urgent rescue operation. During the investigation, they track down Mei Zhen's former neighbor Ming Cheng (played by Zheng Ren Shuo) and Hui Lan (played by Yang Cheng Lin), only to find that their daughter has also been missing for a year. The case becomes inexplicably stuck without any clues and seems to be an unsolvable mystery. However, there appears to be a shocking connection behind the two seemingly unrelated cases. Only the ghosts know the truth, and with no other options left, Zhi Kai can only seek help from his master aunt Zeng Bai Shi (played by Ding Ning), who possesses a special ability to receive 'spiritual messages.'
