"Between the Waves" is a sci-fi drama that tells the story of a woman who traverses parallel spaces in search of her missing lover. Even after people believe Jamie has died, her lover, quantum physicist Isaac, continues to visit her, urging her to join him in crossing the parallel spaces. Following the map and notebook left by Isaac at m.77mi.cc, Jamie embarks on a journey to São Miguel Island in the Azores. At the center of the Atlantic, Jamie begins to unravel the truth of the night Isaac went missing and realizes that her role in it is more significant than she is willing to acknowledge. Jamie bears the weight of the local police investigation back home, is troubled by her choice to have an abortion, and is haunted by Isaac's cross-dimensional visits, while he persuades her to accompany him. When Isaac's former research partner Renata appears on the island to offer help, Jamie hopes to gain some insight. Does Renata believe Jamie? Or is she merely pursuing the notebook left by Isaac? Wandering between enlightenment and madness, how far will Jamie go before she finds herself in too deep?
