 Synopsis
Martin (played by Mateo Chiarino), who is struggling economically, searches for a job near the residence of Eugenio (played by Manuel Vignau) and coincidentally discovers that they were childhood playmates. To help Martin out, Eugenio offers him a summer job at his grand mansion, but this leads to a subtle power struggle that changes the dynamics of their relationship. After many years apart, their social statuses are now vastly different—can they reverse the positions in this power struggle? Argentine director Marco Berger, who won the Teddy Award at the Berlin Film Festival for "Absent," brings us his new work "Hawaii." The film blurs the boundaries of sexual orientation, exploring the peculiar and delicate ambiguities of affection between men.
