 Synopsis
During the Qing army's fire attack on Shaolin, there were significant casualties among the monks. Hong Xiguan (played by Chen Guantai) fortunately escaped from disaster but suffered serious injuries. He decided to temporarily lay low and wait for the opportunity to rise again one day. However, he frequently faced pursuit from the officials and soldiers during his escape. One day, while Hong Xiguan was entangled in a fierce battle with his pursuers, he was inadvertently helped by Fang Shiyu (played by Fu Sheng), who mistook him for a criminal. Fang Shiyu assisted the officials in capturing Hong Xiguan and binding him tightly before delivering him to the authorities. It was only later that Fang Shiyu learned that the person he had captured was the renowned Hong Xiguan, and he regretted becoming an accomplice of the court's unjust officials. Filled with remorse, Fang Shiyu teamed up with a group of martial heroes to devise a plan to rescue Hong Xiguan.
