 Synopsis
The 1978 version of the movie starred Christopher Reeve, who portrayed Superman in a total of four versions of the series. As Krypton was about to be destroyed, scientist Jor-El sent his infant son Kal-El (played by Christopher Reeve) to Earth in a spaceship to preserve the future of their race. Kal-El was raised by the Kent couple on Earth and renamed Clark; he possessed superhuman abilities and would become the guardian of justice and truth on Earth. As Kal-El grew up, he came to Metropolis and became a reporter for the Daily Planet. In his everyday life, he was a mild-mannered reporter, but in moments of crisis, he transformed into Superman, the guardian who flies freely in the sky, wearing a tight suit and a cape. When the evil Lex Luthor attempted to take over the world, Superman was the only one who could stop him.
