Synopsis

During the Northern Song Dynasty, the monk Lu Zhishen, known as the Flower Monk, killed the villain Zhen Guanshi with three punches and fled to the Wutai Mountain to become a monk in the Manjushri Monastery. However, unable to control his murderous thoughts, he was sent by the elder to the Xiangguo Temple in Bianliang to diligently pursue his path of cultivation. Along the way, he repeatedly witnessed injustices in the world but found it hard to intervene, suffering greatly from the remorse for his past killings. Finally, after witnessing the terrifying atrocities committed by officials and bandits in collusion with each other, he, filled with a desire for revenge, picked up a Zen staff and fell into madness...
