Synopsis

Since the events in New York, Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey Jr.) has been plagued by unprecedented anxiety. He has thrown himself into the research and development of an upgraded Iron Man suit, working tirelessly and even neglecting the feelings of his girlfriend, Pepper Potts (played by Gwyneth Paltrow). Meanwhile, the notorious terrorist leader, The Mandarin (played by Ben Kingsley), has been orchestrating a series of bomb attacks, leading to the severe injury of Tony's most loyal bodyguard in one of the recent incidents. Not long after, Tony, Pepper, and a botanist named Maya (played by Rebecca Hall), who he once met briefly, come under heavy fire at home and nearly lose their lives. All of this seems to be connected to Aldrich Killian (played by Guy Pearce), a scientist he encountered 22 years ago, and his ultimate biological research. Even with his advanced armored suit, Tony is unable to dispel the anxiety that comes from within. How will he navigate through the hellish chaos that shatters everything?
