 Synopsis
The story takes place in San Francisco, where the Asian mafia has a strong influence. FBI Asian detective Tom kills a mafia hitman to save his colleague Jack (played by Jason Statham), which brings disaster to his family. When Jack arrives at Tom's vacation cabin, Tom's entire family has already been reduced to ashes. The tragic death of Tom's family becomes an irreparable regret for Jack, torturing him all the time. Three years after the incident, while investigating the murders of some core members of various gangs, Jack discovers a hitman named Roger (played by Jet Li), who is calm, elusive, and has excellent marksmanship. On the surface, he takes money from the Chinese gang, but secretly serves the Japanese gang, yet he disobeys orders and lets the wife and daughter of the Chinese boss go. As the investigation deepens, Roger's secrets are gradually revealed, and while shocked, Jack is forced to confront the truth about the tragic death of Tom's family.
