 Synopsis
The film primarily tells the story of Lin Xiao (played by Ci Sha), an officer of the Ming Navy who returns to his hometown after a shipwreck during the late Ming Dynasty. To prevent the Japanese pirates from obtaining the 'Divine Machine Arsenal' and to find his missing comrade, Lu Laoda (played by Shang Tielong), he accepts a summons from the naval vice-admiral Xiang Ji and embarks on a perilous treasure-hunting journey once again. During the voyage, Lin Xiao's ship is targeted by both a ruthless and bloodthirsty group of mysterious sea monsters and a greedy, cunning pirate organization. Lin Xiao must work with his companions to outsmart the treacherous Japanese pirates and battle the ferocious giant octopus monster in order to complete the mission of obtaining the 'Divine Machine Arsenal'...
