At the beginning of the Pacific War, the U.S. military committed troops to the European theater and could not save the situation in the Philippines, resulting in the capture of 10,000 American soldiers and 60,000 Filipino soldiers on Bataan Peninsula. This film tells the story that occurred over four days in January 1944. Captain Prince of the Rangers belongs to Colonel Maki’s unit, and they were assigned the task of rescuing 500 American soldiers from a POW camp during General MacArthur’s northward advance. Due to the merciless treatment of POWs by the Japanese army, this operation needed to be highly secretive.
