During the Yongzheng period, the loyal and virtuous Yan Gengyao was falsely accused by Sa Ying and died with resentment. Before his death, he entrusted his young son to his army general, Zhu Wentian, for upbringing, naming him Zhu Haiqiu. To eliminate his personal threat, Sa Ying decided to cut to the root and launched a raid on Zhu's family village, turning it into ruins. Haiqiu and his brother Hanliang vowed to take revenge. On his deathbed, Zhu Wentian told Haiqiu about his tragic past. The brothers faced hardships and misfortunes, and by chance, they met the Taiji master Chen Jizong, whom they then apprenticed under to diligently cultivate their skills. With the careful guidance of a Buddhist monk and the support of righteous heroes, they ultimately achieved success, broke the hundred-man Bagua formation, eliminated the treacherous Sa Ying, and avenged their familial and national grievances.
