 Synopsis
The story takes place in the era of Jianghu. The orphan A Fei (played by Andy Lau) is said to have been raised by a school of fish since childhood, thus possessing extraordinary skills. However, A Fei is not interested in fame and fortune, and lives a carefree life in a fishing village. By chance, A Fei meets Yan Shisan (played by Tony Leung), a survivor from the previous dynasty, and they quickly become close friends. In order to help Yan Shisan reclaim the throne from the Fourteenth Prince, A Fei goes to the Lanling Kingdom and rescues the king of Lanling and his daughter, Yue Ya'er (played by Anita Mui). During their escape, A Fei and Yue Ya'er develop feelings for each other, but Yue Ya'er is already betrothed to Yan Shisan, forcing A Fei to leave them sadly. Taking advantage of A Fei's departure, the Fourteenth Prince sends troops to surround Yan Shisan and the others, putting them in a perilous situation.
