Synopsis

Although Earl (played by Martin Lawrence) is strong and muscular, his irritable personality and simple mind lead him further away from his goal of being a good police officer. After causing another major incident, he becomes a lowly security guard. During a traffic stop, Earl encounters the police officer Hank (played by Steve Zahn). The two, with completely different temperaments, get into a huge fight over a minor issue, resulting in Hank losing his job because of Earl's antics and also becoming a security guard. Earl never imagined that his actions would make Hank his colleague. They not only work in the same building but are also paired up as partners, leading to a life filled with bickering. By chance, Earl and Hank discover a major smuggling ring connected to high-ranking police officials. Driven by their inherent goodness and sense of justice, they decide to uncover the truth despite pressure from their superiors, all while facing constant threats and dangers.
