 Synopsis
Nicholas Angel (played by Simon Pegg) serves as a senior police officer in London, where catching criminals and solving cases seems to be his greatest enjoyment. As a result, he has become the most dedicated and capable officer in the precinct. However, this has led to jealousy from the chief, and poor Nicholas is transferred to a remote and quiet town to serve as a police officer. The town has not seen any serious criminal activity for decades. Nicholas feels quite frustrated there, believing that his skills in apprehending criminals have no opportunity to be showcased. Even more troubling is the arrival of the police chief's son, Danny Butterman (played by Nick Frost), who joins him as a partner. This new partner is quite a nuisance, constantly asking about experiences as a police officer in the big city. Just as Nicholas is becoming troubled by the trivial matters of the town and his simple-minded partner, a case arises that gives Nicholas a whiff of the chance to show his skills, and the thrilling battle begins.
