Charlie (played by Mark Wahlberg) could have lived happily ever after with a box of gold stolen in a robbery, but his partner Steve (played by Edward Norton) betrayed him, throwing everything into chaos. Steve not only kept the huge sum for himself and fled to Los Angeles, but also caused Charlie to endure the harshness of prison. Now out of prison, Charlie is determined to settle the score with Steve. He recruits a skilled thief - the beautiful Stella (played by Charlize Theron) to specifically handle the safe-cracking, while he and his other partners focus on designing a smooth escape route. Stella goes to lure Steve into a trap, but she is recognized by the cunning Steve. Meanwhile, Charlie quickly disrupts the traffic light system in Los Angeles, leading to a spectacular traffic jam. However, to their surprise, escaping isn't that easy—Steve doesn't pursue them in a car; instead, he uses a helicopter to relentlessly chase them from above. The underground tunnels and streets of Los Angeles descend into chaos.
