Synopsis

The film is adapted from the 2016 South Korean drama 'Signal' and is the movie version of the same-named Japanese drama. In Tokyo 2021, a traffic accident caused by a runaway rental car results in the death of a high-ranking government official. The long-unsolved case investigation team led by Sakurai and headed by Mi(e)da suspects that the incident was carefully planned. In 2009, a similar incident occurred in Tokyo where government officials died in traffic accidents one after another. At that time, the police publicly announced it as an accident, but only Oyama suspected the true nature of the events. At 23:23, the wireless communication device, which was thought to be impossible to connect, suddenly goes off again! To save Japan from the potential threat of bioterrorism, the 'present' and 'past' events become entangled in a deeper conspiracy. Will Mi(e)da and Sakurai be able to successfully meet Oyama in the present?
