 Synopsis
Directed by Lu Jianming, this romantic comedy incorporates elements of detective cleverness, showcasing the humorous interactions between men and women as they chase each other. Cheng Yu-ling plays a wealthy widow returning from the U.S. who wants to find her old flame, Chow Yun-fat. However, during this time, she hopes to have a son for financial and inheritance reasons, and is willing to offer a reward of two million for this purpose, which leads lawyer Peng Jianxin to pursue her for financial gain. On the other hand, Chow, who runs a private detective agency, is investigating a scheme involving Peng and a shady businessman, Zeng Jiang, who conspire to defraud another factory. He persuades Cheng to help set a trap to take back the factory. Chow Yun-fat and Cheng Yu-ling have collaborated multiple times since the TV drama 'The Man in the Net,' and their scenes together are quite enjoyable.
