In 1957 Paris, the famous fashion designer Christian Dior suddenly passed away from heart failure, leaving the Dior brand on the brink of collapse. Dior's apprentice, 21-year-old Yves Saint Laurent, was suddenly given the responsibility to become Dior's youngest chief fashion designer. His personal debut collection 'Trapeze' made a stunning impact, capturing the world's attention and leading to his encounter with Pierre Bergé. They were both lovers and business partners, and in 1962, they founded the luxury brand YSL, which later dominated the fashion industry. Despite the inner demons that constantly troubled him, Saint Laurent began to change the world with his clothing.
