The woman, Choi Eun-mo (played by Seo Yu), had just returned to her hometown of Paju after a trip to India, feeling numb and desolate. She learned about the details of her sister Eun-soo's accident: her brother-in-law Kim Jong-jik (played by Lee Sun-kyun) had received a substantial insurance payout. However, Eun-mo was astonished to find out that her sister Eun-soo had fallen in love with the teacher. They got married, and during that time, Eun-mo went out to earn money. When she returned home, she found that her sister had passed away unexpectedly, leaving her and her brother-in-law to rely on each other. During this time, they developed feelings for one another. To avoid crossing moral boundaries and to comfort her sister's spirit, Eun-mo decided to leave Paju again...
